We were all excited today in 11G for two reasons- tomorrow we can officially start to talk about Christmas and today we were going to learn all about St Andrew.

At the beginning of the lesson we really didn’t know very much about the patron saint of Scotland, but after listening to a story on the white board, we knew lots-

Mason could tell us that Andrew was crucified on an X shaped cross. Calum had learned that Andrew was a friend of Jesus. Amelia told us about how people in Scotland have celebrations. Faith told us that St Andrews day is the 30th November. Dylan told us that Andrew was killed because he was telling everyone about Jesus. Alex told us that Andrew was buried in Scotland, and Alex told us about the monk bringing Andrews bones to Scotland.

We all wrote out the story or created a picture time line.

We all agreed that St Andrew and St Andrews Day is very important to people who live or have connections to Scotland.
