On Thursday and Friday, we celebrated Eid across school.

Eid marks the end of the month long fast, Ramadan.

To celebrate each class held their own feast. Primary pupils used communication boards to request preferred items. Secondary pupils stepped out of their comfort zones and took the opportunity to try traditional foods.

Classes decorated their doors to mark the occasion and got crafty in class, designing their own Mehndi patterns and prayer mats. Some pupils had the opportunity to wear traditional dress (new clothes are often worn to celebrate Eid). Some pupils followed a simple recipe and created chapatis.

Pupils of the Muslim faith were our class experts, sharing experiences and explaining key facts.

We hope you enjoy the pictures - Eid Mubarak!
