Remembrance Day.
On Tuesday the 11th November learners participated in a whole school 2 minute silence. Mr Welsh played over our tannoy the last post music. The team were so proud of 10A , showing respect and kindness on keeping silent for a whole 2 minutes!
Later on in the day, the learners listened to a PowerPoint on why we celebrated Remembrance Day. They listened that the First World War started in 1914 and lasted for four years. We then looked at events in World War Two and learnt that Winston Churchill was the prime minister.
After the learners showed amazing team work and worked together, cutting and sticking poppies on a landscape piece of paper to represent a poppy field and cut out silhouette soldiers. It was lovely seeing them work so well together.
Lest We Forget.
