This week started with a trip to the train station, as part of our 'Try the Train' work we are taking part in. We walked to the station, using the safest route we could find. Once we were there we had a look around the station for all the things we had learnt about last week, including the arrival and departure screen, the information desk and the train platform. We talked about the things that were there to help us get on the correct train and thought about where we will go on our day trip in a few weeks. In the afternoon, we headed back into town to find different types of technology. We found lots of different things, including electric doors, security cameras to keep us safe and even defibrillators. When we got back to school we wrote about how we had safely used the pelican crossings on the way to the train station.

On Tuesday, we did Picture News. The question this week was quite fitting to link to our ASDAN unit, as it was about if technology can help us too much. We talked about the technology that we use everyday and how life was different in the past, before certain inventions were made. We all then thought about a new invention, that could help us with our daily jobs, including a robot to put the bins out, a machine to make our packed lunches and even a robot that could make our beds! In the afternoon we continued our sewing for our Duke of Edinburgh skill. This week we worked on cross stitch - we found it hard, as we had to go back over the stitches we had already done and it got a bit confusing but everyone showed perseverance and tried their very best to do it.

On Wednesday morning we worked on word classes, filling gaps in sentences with either nouns, adjectives, verb or adverbs. We made some quite interesting sentences about yellow cows and hungry pigs! In maths, everyone continued to work hard on their different topics - adding past tens, subtracting with exchanging and ordering fractions, decimals and percentages. In the afternoon, we spent time reading the books we chose at the library, reading to staff and playing board games with our friends.

Thursday was a very busy day for us. We started with our shopping trip to buy the ingredients for our enterprise. Then we wrapped up warm and headed to Chorley in bloom, some of us helping to dig up and move soil from the flower beds, while the rest of us planted lots of tulip bulbs in the other flower beds. After lunch it was time for us to head to the gym, where we tried to improve on the calories we burned at the gym last week. We all put so much effort in that we managed to beat last weeks results.

On Friday morning we used our amazing teamwork skills to make up the staff sandwich orders for our enterprise project. We are all getting much more confident making them and working so well together with some of us cooking while others assemble or deliver the sandwiches. In the afternoon we had golden time followed by celebration assembly.

**Star of the Week** this week is.. Ollie for having an amazing week with his maths, sewing and leading an enterprise meeting in class. Well done Ollie.
