This week in 7P, we took part in a fun science experiment. We mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in bottles to inflate balloons. The chemical reaction produced a gas that travelled into the balloons, making them grow bigger and bigger! We had lots of fun, although the vinegar didn’t smell very nice. First, we watched Miss Molloy demonstrate the experiment, and then we carried it out ourselves, working in pairs or with the help of a member of staff.
