This half term, Chestnut class have started to visit ‘Outdoor School’! We have been having lots of fun with our friends and have been doing lots of exploring in nature!

Last week, we were introduced to Outdoor School and transitioned safety with our familiar adults. When we got there, we familiarised ourself with the outdoor space and the resources. Each of us confidently explored different aspects of nature in our own way. Some of us gravitated toward the tuff tray full of colourful, squishy Orbeez and sprinkled them! Some of us ventured away to our own space, touching the long grass and looking up at the clouds and trees swaying in the wind.

This week, we did a mark making activity with paint and tools from nature, such as sticks, bark, flowers and leaves. We used these tools to move the paint around the tray and make some beautiful pictures. We engaged with the same resources as our friends and showed good tolerance with one another. Although it was very messy, we had lots of fun!

Well done Chestnut class!
