Bendrigg Day 2
Up early ready for breakfast, which was cereals, toast and a choice of hot breakfast. The children set the tables and tidied away after each meal.
Our first activity of the day was the Zip Wire; the children and adults were a bit nervous but we all faced our fears head-on.
Next,we had our turn on the big snake slide.We all enjoyed this so much.
After lunch, we all boarded a mini-bus and drove down to the canal. We had our life jackets fitted and listened to the safety talk, then the 2 teams boarded the rafted canoes. We travelled up the canal to a jetty and had hot chocolate and biscuits. After the activity, the children helped the team leaders put the canoes on the trailer to take back to Bendrigg.
We had pizza and chips for evening meal, followed by the campfire, songs and toasting marshmallows to make S’mores.
What a fantastic way to end the residential!
