Our 26-27 Beech class have had an amazing first week. This week has been all about making relationships with our peers and teachers and getting to know the routines.

We have explored the sensory rooms, intergration rooms and engaged in a range of interventions in the garden room. Some of us have enjoyed intensive interaction, having tickles and playing chase games with our teachers. Whilst others, have started the first phases of communication. We have begun to use PECS and watched our teachers model how communication boards work to request different games and fun and enticing toys. Beech class teachers are so proud of how well everyone is settling in already!

This week we started our topic of ‘bears’. During continuous provision, we fed the bears porridge, matched the colours, painted bears using different materials and engaged in sensology. We also loved a music session, learning how to go fast and slow and engaged in P.E, looking at how we move in different ways.
