Another busy, busy week in 9R, we’ve had lots of fun and learnt lots of new things. We’ve listened to a story called One Boy’s War read by Mrs Cobham, a true story about a young boy called Sydney who went to war and never returned. The story is on the school you tube channel for you to watch. We watched a clip of a Trench in 3D which was interesting and helped us to complete some work. Miss Troughton showed us a Horrible Histories clip about life in the trenches - it helped us to understand how horrible it was for the soldiers. We also finished our lunchtime read - Not Bad for a Bad Lad by Michael Morpurgo, we were happy that things turned out good for the boy in the end. We’ve enjoyed seeing each other on Teams and having a chat, we also talked about online safety so that Sam as our Digital Leader can do some work about it at home. Malachi sent a photo of him having a walk with his dog Gizmo, Thomas has completed lots of maths work and sent some photos of him playing Trivial Pursuit with mum and doing some yoga and Sarah has sent some work in about WW1. Robyn, Rebecca, Michael, Callum and Lewis have earned a bronze certificate in the 6 star challenge this week.

Robyn asked to contribute to this weeks blog.

On Thursday we had a teams call, Sam, Malachi, Sarah, Faith and Thomas joined us. We did some yoga - we could see everyone’s feet on the screen which was funny. We played a game of exercise bingo, we had to do the exercise that was chosen by rolling a counter. After this we had a chat which was nice because we don’t see our friends a lot.

Keep sending in the work for us to look at and remember to look out for the 6 Star Challenge and send anything to either Mrs Clarke or Mrs Cobham.

Stay safe 9R.
