We’ve had a fabulous last week of term starting with bike and scooter fun showing amazing balancing skills and concentration throughout. We focused on lots of word recognition games this week and tested each other to see what words we know, 9G know a lot!! We worked on our money skills and worked with coin activities to build our confidence with adding them and familiarising with different sizes and colour of coins. 9G have now decided we are going to start our own rugby team since we have started practising rugby skills and teamwork abilities. We are pretty good!
One of 9G’s learners; Katie, had a special birthday this week, we had a party! We enjoyed playing games, dancing lots and lots and doing the Hokey Cokey.
Later in the week we had a duplo building contest, we built the biggest towers in teams, then we built houses and castles, the learners explained the buildings and then had to try and sell them to the teachers, one house even had a swimming pool and a games room!

Finally, our treat day, fun, fun, fun at the Queen’s jubilee celebrations, the whole class thoroughly enjoyed all the activities especially the assault course and the circus workshop, think we have all decided we want to work at the circus!! It’s been a fantastic end to the term, thank you to everyone who has arranged it and a special thanks to our Miss Bibby for working super hard to make everything so fun for the children and staff, I think the queen would of been very proud of us all at Astley park school today!
Happy holidays everyone, have a great break!
