On Tuesday, Meg's Mum and Josh's Mum very kindly joined our Voyagers group for an art session as part of our Sharing Our Learning.

We recapped the famous artists that we have been learning about in our Art lessons and looked at some of the art work that we had produced in previous weeks. JJ had excellent recall of facts about Jean Michel Basquiat and Yayoi Kusama- well done JJ!

This week we learned about the artist Andy Warhol and looked at the work that he produced as part of the Pop Art genre. Meg's Mum told us about an exhibition of Andy Warhol's work that had been displayed in the Picasso Museum in Malaga in Spain.

We decided to have a go at creating our own Pop Art piece of work, based on something that we were interested in. On our paper, the picture we had chosen had been repeated 4 times. We had to change each picture slightly so that they all looked a little bit different. Then for each picture, we chose 3 colours to use to colour them in.

As you can see from the photos, the end results were brilliant! Everyone focused throughout the session, and Meg and Josh's Mums said how relaxing they had found the colouring in!

A massive thank you to Meg's Mum and Josh's Mum too for coming into school for our session, it was really nice to see you face to face and share some work with you too.
