This week was very exciting in 7A… we were decorating our Coronation cakes in our Bake Off competition!

Everyone found their designs and got to work on their masterpieces. We rolled out icing (some may have been eaten along the way!!) and cut out pieces to make the designs. We had different paper decorations, gold crowns and sprinkles too. Some worked in teams and others worked independently to decorate cake ready to be judged. The winner will be announced in next weeks lesson. It’s going to be a very tough decision as they are all fantastic.

After decorating and photographing them, Miss Lane said we could have snack time so obviously cake was chosen… it went down very well.

On Thursday we had a community visit to the library. When we got there we found the comfy chairs and then chose a book each. We sat very quietly and either read ourselves or one of the adults read to us, we had a great time, it was very relaxing.

Friday soon came round, thanks to the King Charles III giving us Monday off, we got busy doing some work on measuring out different ingredients and used what we had learnt to make flapjack.

Of course we needed to see if it was ok so had it for afternoon snack with some hot chocolate.

Happy Friyay!

7A hope you all have a lovely weekend.
