On Monday morning we had maths. We finished off our Capacity work and played a game to test how much we remembered. In my communication we had a think of some questions about the police to ask the PCSO on Wednesday. After lunch we did yoga to help get us ready to learn again. Then we learnt about Sikhism and about Guru Nanak and his life. Then we wrote the blog and our friends did PHSE.
On Tuesday we had a different start to the day because of the snow. We were all excited about the snow. In my communication we finished our evacuee letters and then we went out to play in the snow. We looked at some more things that happened in world war 2 between 1939 and April 1940. In the afternoon we looked at Sikhism and the ten Gurus and what they taught.

On Wednesday we had a lovely visit from PCSO Deary. He came to speak to us about the police. We asked him lots of Amazing questions and really enjoyed sitting in his car. We asked all of the learners what they enjoyed about the visit and this is their response.
Grace said she enjoyed asking questions.
Jake said he really enjoyed sitting in the police car.
Gemma enjoyed finding out what the police do.
Teegan said she enjoyed seeing the lights on the police car.
Joseph said he liked it when PCSO Deary told him about the sirens.
Daniel enjoyed switching the lights on in the car.
Ben said he really enjoyed sitting in the back of a police car.Let’s hope it’s the last time any of our learners are in the back of a police car. After our visit from the PCSO we went swimming again and Paula was really impressed with how hard we have worked. In the afternoon we looked at a Gurdwara and learned more about Sikhism.

On Thursday morning in our P.E lesson we looked at the dance ‘The Lambeth walk’. Then we teamed up with a partner and had a go at learning the dance. It was lots of fun and we all tried really hard. In the afternoon we had another look at our topic for world religion week ‘Sikhism’. We looked at the Mool Manter written by Guru Nanak and its meanings. In the last lesson we looked at using electronic devices and the internet responsibly and when to take breaks.
On Friday we learnt about rationing during World War 2. We looked at the things we eat for breakfast, lunch and tea and then had a think about what we would be able to make for these meals if we were on the same rations as the children of World War 2. In the next lesson we looked at Diwali and how it is celebrated in the Sikh religion. We had a go at colouring our own Rangoli patterns and making hanging door decorations. In the afternoon we had movie club for Golden time then joined celebration assembly.

This weeks star of the week is Ben for amazing swimming this week and doing extra lengths without being asked Well done Ben.
