Another short week for 10A, so lots to do.
On Monday we looked at money in Maths. As part of our Asdan work we are looking to make and sell items to raise funds for our year 11 prom. We talked about how we should work as a team when we are making the items, we discussed ground rules we would need to follow.
In the afternoon some of the learners continued with their independent travel skills and shopping for food tech.
On Tuesday morning we had a second visit to The Life Centre at Chorley Hospital, this week a radiographer came to talk to us about her job. She showed us a power point and discussed different aspects of her job. We all went to look at the X-Ray room in the hospital and some of the learners tried on a lead vest. In the afternoon we worked with 10P to start our enterprise projects.
On Wednesday morning we went swimming at Hindley, everyone worked really hard. On Wednesday afternoon, we did Forrest school and we did a scavenger hunt down the dip at school!
On Thursday we did maths in the morning and then we went to Chorley in bloom, where we carried on with the gardening that we’ve been doing. In the afternoon, we did food tech, where we practiced our independent skills, and made up a pot noodle. This afternoon we had celebration assembly, and this weeks star of the week is Daniel - for having a fantastic week, using his independence skills on his bus journey, for answering questions at the Life Centre and for working independently at Chorley in Bloom. Well done Daniel!
