Pirates in Rowan Class 25/26

This half term our topic in class is all about Pirates, which we have been learning about and pretended to be pirates during our Sensory Story lessons. During our lessons the explorers targets are to be able to give attention to multi sensory props and the adventurers target is to be able to form simple sentences. In today’s sensory story, first we each took a turn to be the pirate, trying on the pirate hat, then we experiences the sea going from calm to rough and we got sprayed by the sea water, in Rowan class loved the water spray!! Then we used the drum to make the sound of thunder, making loud sounds on the drum. Next had to used map to find our way off the pirate ship to find the island to for treasure. We finally found the treasure in the sand and enjoy exploring the coins we had found! Well done Rowan Class, what super pirates.
