This term our theme is “Our Planet”. In our My Community lessons we have been thinking about our local environment and some of us have been out in the local community litter picking. We have been shocked at the amount of litter we have found over the past few weeks in Chorley Town Centre and at Devonshire Park. In our My Communication lessons we have read the story “The Messy Magpie” and been thinking some more about the impact of littering. We have looked at pictures that show the real life impact littering can have, especially the impact on animals. Today we applied what we have learnt by producing some writing. Some of us wrote captions for pictures, whilst our Voyagers wrote persuasive pieces, informed by facts that they have found online about littering. Everybody has worked really hard and we would like to ask everybody reading our blog to make an extra conscious effort to put litter in the bin or take it home with you to put in a bin. Let’s improve our town together!
