This week Chestnut Class have had a fabulous day out to Smithills Farm in Bolton. It forms part of our class topic of Houses and Homes this term.

Chestnut Class have enjoyed exploring the farm and meeting and stroking so many different animals ! We found the cows, pigs, sheep, llamas, owls, meerkats, donkeys and even fed some of them. They were so noisy! We loved bottle feeding the lambs but they were very fast and hungry so we had to make sure we held onto the bottle very tightly!  We thought they were very funny. We had a very bumpy ride on the tractor tour which was definitely a highlight for us and even time on the adventure playground on the climbing walls and racing our friends on the slides. We looked in the pasteurising room where all the milk from the cows is collected and watched it being swirled around in a big tanker ready for making ice creams and milkshakes. It was a wonderful day out and the weather was glorious too.

Well done Chestnut Class, you are all superstars!
