Rainbow Day in 7P

Friday, Astley Park School Celebrated Rainbow Day. Rainbow Day is a celebration of LGBTQ+. 7P watched a video from the Pop and Olly channel on YouTube. This channel covers lots of child friendly videos that talk about same gender relationships amongst other things. The children also watched staff model some super examples of good and bad choices and how it is okay to love whoever we want no matter what their gender. 

As 7P chose the colour yellow, we painted a huge round sun amongst some lovely clouds. They followed step by step instructions amazingly. They painted white fluffy clouds around the edge of their blue paper, then painted a huge round yellow sun in the middle. They then painted small yellow flicks coming from the sun to make it look like it’s shining.
